Next to my academic work, I occasionally contribute to or organise publications and events that help to inform policy-makers and a broader audience about migration research and current policies and practices. Between 2021 and 2024, I was a National Expert for Germany for the Asylum Information Database. The Database is managed by the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) and aims to provide up-to date information on asylum policy, law, and practice which is accessible to researchers, advocates, legal practitioners and the general public. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Research Associate for the European Migration Network, where I (co-)authored a number of studies on different aspects of migration and asylum policy in Germany.
